Our Fees
The Laine Clinic is a small and specialist service and assessments are expensive. We operate a policy of screening all potential clients in advance to ensure that we are the service that will best meet their needs.
Please note that as a small clinic with limited slots we operate an advance payment policy and require full payment one week in advance of your appointment.
Autism Assessment - £2,500
Our standard autism assessment comprises a screening process following self-referral.
Our team may contact you for more information before booking an assessment, this is at no additional charge.
The assessment itself takes around three hours and is conducted in person at Flint Healthcare in Woodingdean, Brighton.
What's included:
Autism Assessment
We will take a full developmental, physical and mental health history from you and a family member or other informant. This will be conducted by a Consultant Psychiatrist and Specialist Nurse.
Screening for associated conditions
In our assessments we would ordinarily conduct a screen for conditions that are commonly found alongside autism. This includes ADHD, physical health conditions including hypermobility and dyspraxia (also known as DCD).
Where appropriate we can make onward referral or recommendations to a private specialist or provide guidance for your GP as to referrals within the NHS.
Advice on Reasonable Adjustments
Our reports can provide thoughts on potential reasonable adjustments for work or education. This is not a guarantee that these will be offered but we have found that this can be helpful in creating a supportive working or learning environment. Our clinicians are experienced in working alongisde Occupational Health departments and have a good understanding of what might be done to support you.
Advice and Guidance to General Practitioner
Where beneficial we can make recommendations for the future treatment of any mental health conditions that you may want to discuss with us. As one of the assessing team will be an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist we are able to provide advice on a range of mental health conditions.
Guidance on Support Services and Resources
All our reports will include detailed information about local services that support people with neurodiveristy and additional resources that you may find helpful.
